Sapio FAQ | Product, Governance, Readiness and Value

Answers about Sapio: the Intelligence Loop, Flows, Company DNA governance, EU AI Act readiness, security and the source-backed value diagnostic.

  • A clear brief before an agent starts — how does this work? Review the owner, instructions, source and any stated deliverable or acceptance criteria. Missing details stay visible so the team can resolve them. Connected agents work from the approved brief. Your team can follow progress and review the returned result alongside its sources. If the brief changes, the work must use the updated instructions.
  • Choose which connected tools may read — how does this work? The account owner chooses which connected information Sapio may read automatically. Access is reviewed before it is used. Permission to read does not give permission to change your systems. Your team keeps control of approved access and can withdraw it.
  • Compare two creative directions — how does this work? Give A/B Studio a brief, brand context and one variable to test. Generate two images, review them side by side and save the images with a versioned experiment record in the Library. Record a human preference and optional observations with dates and a source. Entered measurements remain user-reported; a preferred image does not establish business lift or update Company DNA.
  • How can one deep analysis benefit the whole company? For a market entry such as Finland, Sapio can turn a company-contextual deep analysis into saved, reusable decision material. Leadership, marketing, sales, finance, HR and IT can continue from the relevant report or task and investigate their specific gaps. Configured deep flows combine multiple AI engines, source checks and critical challenge. Research stays supporting material; durable company facts require approval through DNA Review. Reuse can reduce repeated AI research and human preparation, depending on overlap, freshness and access. It is a ready-made product workflow, not a claim that every chat automatically receives every source or that a fixed saving is guaranteed.
  • What is Sapio? Sapio is AI that understands the company and moves work forward. It connects a generated company portrait, working context and approved Company DNA with research, analysis, reusable reports, proposed actions and monitored follow-up.
  • How is Sapio different from a general AI chat tool? Chat is one entry point, not the whole product. Sapio carries object and source context into configured research and analysis, reusable reports, related tasks, supported execution and reviewed learning across pages and later resumption.
  • What is a company portrait? The company portrait is an AI-generated interpretation of available company material and sources across nine connected areas. Whole company maps relationships, Movement compares dated snapshots, and Assessment weighs relevant evidence, confidence and gaps. It remains separate from approved Company DNA.
  • What is Company DNA? Company DNA is your company's approved shared memory: facts, sources and confirmations that have been reviewed and accepted. Nothing enters Company DNA automatically — proposed facts go through review before they count as shared memory.
  • Who is Sapio for? Leadership and functional teams — CEO, CFO, HR, Sales/Growth, IT, Operations and Legal/Compliance — who want a shared, source-backed view of the company and a way to turn findings into owned follow-up work.
  • What are role workspaces? Sapio provides workspaces for seven roles — CEO, CFO, HR, Sales/Growth, IT/Technology, Ops/COO and Legal/Compliance — with a catalogue of 45 prepared tasks. A chosen task gives the AI a structured starting point for relevant company work.
  • What are department workspaces? Department workspaces (for example Sales or Finance) hold context and memory specific to that department, separate from the wider Company DNA, so teams can work with detail that matters to them without cluttering the shared view.
  • What can I do inside a role or department workspace? You can ask questions, draft documents and review reports using contextual chat, and you can see the tasks and follow-up actions relevant to that role or department.
  • What can contextual chat do? Contextual chat supports Ask, Draft and Propose around the open object. It can answer, create a useful draft or prepare the next linked piece of work while carrying source, area and working context forward.
  • What is a report in Sapio? A report is a reviewable saved brief with its source and evidence attached, a status, and a path to reuse, presentation or follow-up action. Reports are not auto-published — they are reviewed before they are treated as final.
  • What are signal monitors? Signal monitors track changes relevant to your company — with the evidence behind each change, an owner and a suggested next step — so leadership can see what changed and decide what to do about it.
  • What is DNA Review? DNA Review, sometimes called "what the company learned", is where proposed facts are checked before they can join approved Company DNA. Proposed facts are kept separate from approved shared memory until someone confirms them.
  • What is "After the decision"? It is how an approved report or signal becomes owned work: an action with a named owner, plain instructions, the source it came from, and an approve, defer or reject decision. Follow-up status stays visible after that.
  • Do actions run automatically? Sapio can prepare work and use enabled tools and workflows after approval. People choose consequential actions and approve durable facts; capabilities without an execution tool are opened or prepared rather than presented as completed.
  • What do the numbers in the Action Center mean? They describe work activity — how many actions were proposed, approved, deferred or completed. They are not a measured financial return.
  • What happens during onboarding? Sapio can generate a first company portrait from available evidence without a questionnaire. The team refines that interpretation, chooses the first goal or prepared task, and separately reviews any durable facts proposed for Company DNA.
  • How long does onboarding take? You can see contextual chat, a company portrait and a first report working on your own context in a single company demo. Full onboarding depth depends on how much context and how many sources your team wants to confirm.
  • Who approves what enters Company DNA during onboarding? Leadership or a delegated owner. DNA Review is an explicit approval step; nothing becomes shared company memory automatically.
  • How does Sapio keep AI output traceable? Every report and action carries a source trail, an owner and a status. Durable facts pass through DNA Review before they become company truth; other detail stays in the report it came from.
  • Does Sapio support EU AI Act readiness? Signal monitors and readiness views connect a change to company relevance, evidence, an owner and a next step. Sapio does not determine legal applicability and does not certify compliance.
  • Who approves what enters Company DNA? Leadership or a delegated owner, through the DNA Review step. Nothing becomes durable company truth automatically.
  • How should we think about the value of Sapio? Look at the same things a leadership team already cares about: less repeated context-gathering, clearer source-backed findings, faster follow-up on decisions, and a company memory that improves over time. We have not yet published measured customer outcomes; see the Evidence page for how we separate product evidence from customer measurement and external research.
  • Are there guaranteed savings? No. Any value discussion is a source-backed conversation about your own context, not a guaranteed saving.
  • Is company context isolated per customer? Yes. Company DNA, reports, connections and actions are account-owned and scoped to the customer workspace.
  • Which systems can Sapio connect to? Account-owned company connections to sources such as CRM, ERP and document stores. Connections are configured and approved by the customer.
  • Is Sapio output traceable? Yes. Reports keep their original source trail so a leader can follow any finding back to the evidence behind it.
  • What is Sapio Practice? A version of Sapio for consultancies, MSPs and advisory firms: firm-level methods, separated per-client context, client-ready reports and portfolio-level signals.
  • How do we get started? Book a company demo. Bring your context and see contextual chat, a company portrait and a first report built on it.
